Half Day Pre-K
Jahn Pre-School for All (PFA)
Our Goal:
To ensure that all children are well prepared to succeed in school and in life. Working within a context of children, families, and communities, we are committed to creating an engaging learning environment that supports and respects the unique potential of each individual child through best practice.
Our Program:
- Spanish integrated into curriculum
- Learn through play and Creative Arts:
- Dance, Drama, Music, Visual Arts, and Literature
- Project Approach
- Erikson Institute Early Mathematics Education Project
- Field Trips
- Two sessions: AM and PM
Eligibility:
- Children must be at least three years of age but not yet five on or before September 1st of the current school year. Children who reach the age of five on or before September 1st are eligible for kindergarten.
- Children must be completely potty trained.
The following documents are needed for enrollment:
- Child’s birth certificate
- Complete physical exam eight required lab work
- Up-to-date immunization record (shot record)
- Parent ID
- Proof of address

Toddler/Mother Goose Program
Please join us for our first Mother Goose Story and Song Hour tomorrow, Thursday, September 27th, 2012 from 9 AM to 10 AM.
Toddler Room Hours will be as follows for the 2012-2013 School Year: Tuesday - Friday 10 AM-2 PM. Story Hour will occur every Friday from 10AM-11 AM starting October 12th!
Toddlers and babies are welcome with an adult.

Teacher of the month
It has been a great privilege working at Jahn World Language School this year. It has been a pleasure working with our talented and motivated students, as well as our excellent, creative, and supportive staff and administration. While our music program is still developing, I am very proud of what our students have achieved so far. With the help of their teachers, they put on a fantastic Holiday Season Assembly and a terrific Black History assembly. I am amazed at the great progress that our band and choir students have made singing, and learning guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums.

Students of the Month
Every month teachers select a student who has exhibited good behavior, good work habits, and good citizenship to be the positive action students of the month. We celebrate with an ice cream party and students’ pictures are placed on our positive action bulletin board for all to see.
